Executive search firm Focus Search Partners, a Vaco company, acquired Southerland Group, a Dallas-based executive search firm that specializes in hospitals and other healthcare organizations.

The Southerland Group was founded in 2014 by Keith Southerland. He and his team will join Focus Search Partners.

“Keith brings a wealth of experience and an exceptional healthcare legacy to the Focus Search Partners team,” said Paul Frankenberg, founder and managing partner of Focus Search Partners.

Southerland’s experience prior to forming Southerland Group includes Korn Ferry, where he handled CEO and C-suite searches for healthcare systems nationwide.

The Southerland Group has conducted more than 1,100 searches.
