Executive Forum North America 2019 starts today

Staffing Industry Analysts’ 2019 Executive Forum North America kicks off today in Austin, Texas. Some 1,300 attendees are expected at the event, which runs through Thursday.

The latest trends affecting the staffing industry — and the whole workforce solutions ecosystem —  will be discussed, from technology to recruiting and from artificial intelligence to sales.

Keynote talks are:

  • “Breakthrough Leadership: Today & Tomorrow,” by Barry Asin, president of Staffing Industry Analysts. Asin will discuss the changing shape of the industry, the keys to success today and what it will take to be among leaders in the future. The talk start at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
  • “Leadership and the New Principles of Influence,” by Daniel Pink, best-selling author and business thinker. Pink will discuss new ways leaders are persuading, influencing and motivating others. He will also talk about the power of underused techniques such as perspective-taking, problem-finding and using a purpose as a motivation. The talk starts at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
  • “The Fourth Age: Smart Robots, Conscious Computers and the Jobs of Tomorrow,” by Byron Reese, futurist and technologist. Reese will discuss technology’s advancement, what is coming next and what those in business can do to prepare for these times. The talk starts at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
  • “The Next Recession: When and How Bad?” by Alan Beaulieu, president of ITR Economics. The staffing industry has enjoyed a long expansion since 2008 and 2009, and Beaulieu will discuss where he believes the economy is headed. The talk is at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday.
