Employ Inc., a recruiting and talent acquisition provider and the parent company of JazzHR, Jobvite and NXTThing RPO brands, acquired Lever, a San Francisco-based platform that combines applicant tracking system and candidate relationship management capabilities. The deal closed Aug. 5.

Lever will continue to operate under its brand name as a subsidiary of Employ Inc.

In addition, Lever founder and CEO Nate Smith will continue to lead the company. Smith will report to Employ Inc. CEO Pete Lamson.

Founded in 2012, Lever announced a $50 million series D funding round in November 2021.

The deal enables Employ Inc. to serve more than 18,000 customers and operate a network of 1,200 partners.
