Elwood Staffing acquired the commercial staffing solutions division of Florence, Ala.-based Lyons HR.

The acquisition adds seven commercial staffing offices and $40 million of revenue in Alabama for Columbus, Ind.-based Elwood. Plans call for Elwood to immediately rebrand Lyons’ commercial staffing offices under the Elwood Staffing name. Financial details of the transaction were not announced.

Elwood ranks No. 10 on Staffing Industry Analysts’ 2018 list of largest industrial staffing firms in the US. This transaction marks the 16th acquisition for Elwood Staffing. Most recently, last year it acquired Swanson Staffing, a commercial staffing firm serving northern Indiana and parts of Florida’s Gulf Coast.

Separately, Lyons will continue to provide its professional employer organization service under the brand name Lyons HR.
