Elwood Staffing, a Columbus, Indiana-based staffing firm, announced the acquisition of IES Custom Staffing Solutions, a provider of industrial and clerical staffing services with offices throughout Idaho and northern Utah.

The acquisition boosts Elwood’s service capabilities in an already strong market and furthers the company’s plan for continued growth, according to the company. Plans call for the acquired operations to be rebranded under the Elwood Staffing name.

“We were immediately attracted to this opportunity, as both IES and Elwood are leaders in the Idaho and Utah markets,” said John Elwood, CEO of Elwood Staffing. “We are thrilled at the benefits this union will bring to our clients, associates and applicants.”

The transaction marks Elwood’s 17th acquisition in five markets. Elwood ranks among the largest staffing firms in the US. It has more than 275 service locations and employs more than 135,000 temporary workers annually.

The financial terms of the transaction were not announced.
