Swing Education, an education staffing platform, announced a funding round, as did UnifyWork, which matches workers with livable wage jobs. Meanwhile, ATS provider Comeet announced it is merging with video interview platform Spark Hire.

Swing Education

Swing Education, an online platform that connects schools to substitute teachers, reported it raised $38 million in a series C funding round.

“This additional funding highlights the current strain on our schools and positions Swing to grow our impact, placing even more substitute teachers in even more classrooms,” CEO Mike Teng said in a press release.

The company was founded in 2015 and is aimed at the K-12 market. It currently works with more than 2,8000 schools and has filled more than 1 million instructional hours with substitute teachers.

Swing Education currently operates in California, Arizona, Texas, Illinois, New York, New Jersey and Washington, DC.

The series C funding round was led by funds advised by Apax Partners LLP, a private equity advisory firm, and by edtech investment firm Reach Capital.

UnifyWork

UnifyWork raised $3 million in additional capital, bringing total funding to date to $7.5 million. The Cleveland-based company offers a platform that matches workers only to jobs paying livable wages or higher. It made the funding announcement on May 30.

The company says its platform analyzes job seekers’ skills, interests and work styles and maps them to nearly 1,000 occupations.

“This capital will help our team achieve our mission of informing, empowering and fully engaging our workforce so individuals, businesses and communities can thrive,” founder and CEO Stephen McHale said in a press release.

Comeet, a provider of applicant tracking software, announced a merger with Spark Hire, a video interview platform.

Comeet, based in New York, reported its customers included KPMG, talent platform Fiverr and Monday.com. Combined, Comeet and Spark Hire have more than 7,000 customers.
