Update Legal, the fourth-largest legal staffing firm in the US, was acquired by Driven Inc., a legal e-discovery and data management solutions provider based in Fall Church, Va. Driven announced the acquisition today in a blog post.

“Update Legal has been a market leader in legal staffing for nearly half a century, and the experience and talent they bring to the Driven family will be invaluable to our current and prospective client base,” Driven CEO Ozzy Jimenez said.

Founded in 1970 and based in New York, Update Legal also has offices in other major cities, including Washington, Los Angeles, and Boston.

The CEO of Update Legal, April Pish, is included on SIA’s Global Power 100 — Women in Staffing list.

“The ability to offer Driven’s expansive suite of e-discovery solutions to our existing client base gives us the opportunity to better serve the needs of our customers,” Pish said.
