Cross Country rebrands DirectEd and Mediscan business lines

Cross Country Healthcare Inc. announced Monday it was combining its DirectEd Educational Services and Mediscan educational staffing brands under the single Cross Country Education brand.

Mediscan provides healthcare workers as well as workers to schools such as physical therapists and nurses. In 2014, Mediscan had acquire DirectEd, which provides substitute teachers who specialize in meeting the needs of charter schools in Los Angeles. DirectEd had added a special education agency by 2011.

Cross Country acquired Mediscan in October 2015.
