Contract watch: Randstad Sourceright signs Asia-Pacific MSP deal with Johnson & Johnson

June 29, 2017

Randstad Sourceright announced a managed service provider agreement with Johnson & Johnson to oversee sourcing, hiring and management of the company’s contingent workforce in 12 countries in the Asia Pacific region.

“Asia Pacific is one of the fastest-growing regions for Johnson & Johnson and we need the ability to scale quickly and capitalize on new market opportunities,” said Jayesh Joshi, regional procurement director for Johnson & Johnson. “We are excited to be teaming-up with Randstad Sourceright. Our partnership across the region is a leap forward, and in line with our credo, will enable J&J to optimize our hiring practices, attract new pools of talent, improve supplier engagement and provide new opportunities in this dynamic and business critical area of supply.”

During the three-year contract, Randstad Sourceright will manage several thousand temporary employees in a variety of Johnson & Johnson’s sectors, including pharmaceutical, medical, consumer and vision.

Countries served will include India, Singapore, Japan, China, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines.

“The diverse regulatory environment and talent shortage in Asia Pacific can act as a significant barrier to growth for some companies in the region,” said Rebecca Henderson, CEO of Randstad Sourceright. “Johnson & Johnson has always taken an innovative approach to its hiring strategies and quickly recognized the value an MSP model can deliver in such a demanding hiring environment.”

No further financial details of the agreement were disclosed.
