Premier Health of America Inc. (TSXV: PHA) subsidiary Canadian Health Care Agency was named as a primary contractor with Indigenous Services Canada in four-year contracts valued at C$23.4 million (US$17.2 million). Premier announced the deal last week.
Canadian Health Care Agency provides nurse recruitment, training and placements with a focus on indigenous communities across the north of Canada. The company is based in Cambridge, Ontario.
The contracts were awarded on Nov. 3. Canadian Health Care Agency is the primary contractor in Ontario and will serve as a backup in Manitoba and Alberta. It will provide nursing services in remote, isolated and semi-isolated communities.
After the initial four-year term, the contracts are eligible for four one-year extensions for a total potential length of eight years.
