Construction Labor Contractors LLC, a provider of temporary staffing of skilled tradesmen for the commercial construction market and a portfolio company of Silver Oak Services Partners LLC, acquired Trade Solutions Inc.

The deal strengthens Construction Labor Contractors’ presence in Ohio, expands its geographic footprint and provides growth opportunities throughout the Midwest.

Trade Solutions provides skilled tradesmen to the commercial construction market and employs approximately 200 craftsmen on average. It is based in Cincinnati and has another location in Grand Rapids, Mich., but operates throughout the Midwest.

“Geographic expansion into large, growing markets such as Ohio and Michigan is a key component of CLC’s long-term growth strategy, and we’re extremely pleased to add a company with Trade Solutions reputation to our existing platform,” said Greg Barr, managing partner of Silver Oak Services Partners.

The transaction closed Aug. 14 and terms were not disclosed. Trade Solutions now operates under the Construction Labor Contractors brand; its owner has retired but the staff will remain with Construction Labor Contractors.

Construction Labor Contractors last year acquired Skilled Labor Solutions Inc., which provides electricians and other skilled tradesmen to the commercial construction market in the Baltimore and Washington DC markets. The company is pursuing further acquisitions of complementary businesses in attractive geographies.

Construction Labor Contractors launched in 1997 and is based in Richfield, Ohio, a Cleveland suburb. It operates 20 offices in the Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Southeast and Central regions and can serve customers in all 50 states. Construction Labor Contractors employed more than 7,500 craftsmen over the past year.
