Consilio LLC closed on its acquisition of Lawyers On Demand, a legal staffing provider based in the UK, and Syke, a legal technology consultancy. The acquisition was first announced Aug. 2. The deal extends Consilio’s enterprise legal services business in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Australia. It also expands the firm’s presence in the UK.

“Consilio’s acquisition of LOD and Syke is a significant milestone for our company as we grow our legal flexible talent offerings and legal system implementations, optimization and commercial contracting services,” Andy Macdonald, CEO of Consilio, said in a press release. “This acquisition allows us to keep pace with global demand for these services and unlock enhanced scale and capabilities for our clients.”

With the transaction closed, Consilio said the integration process between the two firms will take place over the next several quarters.

The completed deal also enabled UK private equity firm Bowmark Capital to realize its five-year investment in Lawyers On Demand and Syke, according to Consilio. Bowmark supported the management buyout of Lawyers On Demand in May 2018. Lawyers On Demand and Syke later joined forces in March 2021, according to an announcement from Bowmark.
