Compunnel acquires New Jersey-based staffing firm

Compunnel Software Group Inc., a business technology services and staffing provider, acquired Lyndhurst, N.J.-based Challenge Training & Consulting Inc. CTC provides learning, staffing and consulting services.

The transaction closed Aug. 31 and terms were not disclosed.

CTC will rebrand under Compunnel’s umbrella. CTC CEO Frank Pinto will join Compunnel as a director and work closely with Compunnel’s staffing division and its InfoPro Learning division. Ruth Brown, a former CTC managing director, also joins Compunnel in a senior sales and delivery capacity.

“The acquisition enables us to accelerate our overall business growth plans and respond to the growing learning & development and human capital requirements for our clients,” said Compunnel CEO Andy Gaur. “In its 20 year tenure, Challenge Training & Consulting has achieved great success and long-term relationships with numerous North American clients, and we look forward to supporting these clients even more with the full range of our service offerings.”

Staffing contributes more than 79 percent of Compunnel’s revenue. The company also provides application development and modernization, business intelligence, cloud and learning solutions.

The Plainsboro, N.J.-based Compunnel has additional offices in New Jersey, New York, Utah, Denmark and the UK.  The firm also operates two offshore development centers in India, which provide software development, enterprise cloud solutions, QA and testing services and eLearning and content development services.
