Cognizant Technology Solutions Corp. (NASDAQ; CTSH) today welcomed a former Infosys exec as CEO and updated revenue guidance.

Cognizant reported Ravi Kumar S will serve as CEO and become a member of its board effective immediately. Kuma succeeds Brian Humphries in both roles. Humphries will remain as a special advisor until March 15.

In addition, the company said it now expects fourth-quarter 2022 revenue of approximately $4.8 billion, an increase of 4.1% in constant currency, up from previous guidance of $4.72 billion to $4.77 billion.

Cognizant had previously announced that Kumar would join as president with Cognizant Americas. In connection with the CEO transition, the company also announced that Surya Gummadi has been named president, Cognizant Americas. Gummadi is a 24-year veteran of Cognizant and has held the role on an interim basis since July 2022.

Kumar joins Cognizant after a 20-year career at Infosys, where he served as president from January 2016 through October 2022.

In addition, Cognizant announced Stephen Rohleder has been elected as chair of its board, and former chair Michael Patsalos-Fox will remain on the board as an independent director.

Rohleder joined the board in March 2022; he has had a 35-year tenure in senior roles at Accenture.
