Chicago report says low-wage workers experience retaliation (Crain’s Chicago Business)

May 19, 2017

A report by a coalition of worker advocated found employers often retaliate against low-wage workers who complain about pay or working conditions, Crain’s Chicago Business reported. The report surveyed low-wage workers in Chicago, and about 29% of survey participants worked through staffing firms. “Among those workers who tried to address the violation, 58% reported some form of retaliation from their employer, the report says. Most frequently, employers took work away,” according to Crain’s Chicago Business.
