Chartwell adds management services with acquisition

Chartwell Staffing Solutions, a staffing provider based in Lancaster, Penn., acquired Moving Solutions, a project and facilities management company in Santa Clara, Calif.

The acquisition means Chartwell Staffing Solutions now provides project management, IT management, and facility management services to California and beyond. Currently, Moving Solutions focuses on large Silicon Valley companies.

The transaction closed May 11; terms were not disclosed.

Moving Solutions will now operate under the Chartwell brand within its newly created managed solutions division. Former owner Rick Philpott remains on staff as senior VP of Chartwell’s new managed solutions division. 

“We are supporting our new managed solutions division with the funds and staff it needs to expand,” Chartwell COO Stephen Fick said. “We perceive a growing need for these distinctive services throughout the US.”

Chartwell last year assumed control of a majority of the teams and 30 locations of Corporate Resource Services.

More recently, Chartwell in October acquired both New York City-based Tiger Information Systems and Georgia-based Victory Staffing Solutions LLC, and in July acquired Utah firm Eveready Staffing and Training.

Chartwell now counts 41 offices in 13 states.
