Catalant hires InsightSquared co-founder as its first CIO

February 22, 2017

Catalant, a Boston-based online staffing platform, hired Bryan Stevenson as its first chief information officer, effective Feb. 21. He oversees the company’s engineering team and provides technical leadership for product and service innovation.

Stevenson is deeply rooted in Boston’s technology sector and has spent more than 10 years founding and building his own businesses. Most recently, he was part of the co-founding team at InsightSquared where he spent seven years as the company’s chief technology officer. Prior to that, Stevenson founded 80concepts, where he was the head of web software development, and Groovr.com, where he served as VP of engineering. He started his career at Akamai as a technical lead. He remains an advisor at InsightSquared.

“Technology is forefront to everything we do,” said Patrick Petitti, co-founder and co-CEO of Catalant. “We are constantly working to provide the very best experience for our customers, and working to ensure our platform is delightful, reliable, and flexible. Bryan is not just a technology leader — he’s an incredible founder and company leader, and he has experience scaling technology platforms and organizations. His addition to the team will allow us to focus our efforts on continued technological innovation to meet the needs of our fast growing customer base.”

HourlyNerd rebranded as Catalant in July, following a $22 million Series C funding round — led by General Catalyst Partners — which brought HourlyNerd’s total amount raised to more than $33 million. Catalant recently named Dave Walsh as its first CRO and Shirley Paley as its first general counsel.
