The percentage of Canadians working remotely fell to 20% in November 2023, down from about 40% in April 2020 during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, Statistics Canada reported today.

Still, the percent of those working from home in November 2023 was much higher than the 7% reported in May 2016.

Almost one in four of those working from home would like to work a greater portion of their hours working from home than they did in the reference week. Only one in eight want to work a smaller proportion of hours.
