The Canadian temporary staffing industry will contract by 6% this year to a total of C$10.4 billion (US$7.54 billion), according to new research from SIA.

SIA also counted 33 staffing firms in Canada with C$50 million (US$36.2 million) or more in revenue. Those firms represented 76% of the total market.

The five largest staffing firms in terms of 2022 revenue were:

1. Allegis Group
2. Randstad
3. Adecco
4. ManpowerGroup
5. S.i. Systems

Of the 33 companies in the report, seven are publicly traded; fourteen of the firms are headquartered in Canada, 14 are headquartered in the US and five are based in Europe.
