Canadian staffing index edges up in June, moderate year-over-year growth

July 18, 2017

The Canadian staffing index edged up 1% in June from May and was up 5% when compared with June of last year. The index, which measures staffing activity in Canada, rose to a reading of 111 from a reading of 110 in May.

“The June index value of 111 suggests moderate year-over-year growth in billed hours,” said Maxim Kupfer, research associate at Staffing Industry Analysts. “The past few months have been showing similar trends indicating industry growth.”

Staffing Industry Analysts produces the index on behalf of the Association of Canadian Search, Employment and Staffing Services.
