Design Group Staffing Inc. acquired LucasWorks!, a Windsor, Ontario-based recruitment firm. The deal closed on Sept. 1, but terms were not announced.

The LucasWorks! brand will remain and its executives, including owner and President Maureen Lucas, will stay with the firm in the same roles.

LucasWorks! primarily targets the manufacturing sector but also provides administrative professionals with skill sets in sales/marketing and finance/accounting. It counts three offices in Southwestern Ontario — Windsor, London and Kitchener — and 25 internal employees.

Design Group Staffing ranks fifth on Staffing Industry Analysts list of largest staffing firms in Canada, and it’s the largest privately held firm on the list. It operates 38 branches across Canada and provides recruitment and workforce solutions through the Design Group Staffing, Inteqna and Talentcor brands.
