CWS Summit underway in Las Vegas

September 19, 2016

The CWS Summit conference for contingent workforce buyers began in Las Vegas on 19 September.

The summit began with discussions as well as a presentation by John Boudreau, professor and research director of the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business and Center for Effective Organizations. Boudreau is set to discuss the “boundary-less” organization and alternative work arrangements beyond employment.

More presentations are also scheduled on negotiating SOW services, legal risks, vendor management services, total talent management, case studies and more.

The conference continues through today with another conference, Collaboration in the Gig Economy, set to get underway Wednesday, also in Las Vegas. The conference, known as GigE, will discuss the human cloud and how it is transforming the talent supply chain.

“This is the first time a conference we’ve brought everyone together,” Barry Asin, president of Staffing Industry Analysts of the GigE conference. While the CWS conference brings together staffing buyers, vendor management system providers and managed service provider programs; the GigE will also include staffing firms and human cloud companies such as online staffing firms and online services firms.
