CIOs and CTOs can garner salaries of between $169,000 to $259,000, according to the 2018 Salary Guide released by Infinity Consulting Solutions, a New York-based staffing firm. That puts CIOs and CTOs among the highest-paid IT executives.

Infinity’s research includes proprietary data on the most high-demand jobs in IT, database development, networking and project support across the US.

According to the company, top-paying IT salaries in each category include:

• Executives: Chief information officer, $169,300 to $259,200
• Project management office: Director of PMO, $149,700 to $182,100
• Tech support/systems: Director of information technology, $126,900 to $159,800
• Database admin/development: Data architect, $115,700 to $144,100
• Networking: Network architect, $120,900 to $143,900
• Other top salaries: Business intelligence architect, $105,700 to $139,900
