CHG Healthcare promotes three execs

February 08, 2023

CHG Healthcare, the fourth-largest healthcare staffing firm in the US and the largest locum tenens staffing provider, expanded its leadership team with three promotions: Lisa Grabl to CHG Healthcare group president; Brooke Bowers to president of CompHealth, CHG’s locum tenens division; and Kerry Norman to executive VP of operations.

These executives cumulatively bring almost 50 years of experience in the locum tenens staffing industry and contribute to a rising trend of women leadership, where 44% of director roles and above at CHG are held by women.

Lisa Grabl joined CompHealth in 2001 and has held multiple recruiting and leadership roles within the organization. Most recently, she served as CompHealth president and led the division through the turbulence of the Covid-19 pandemic and hybrid work. Grabl played an instrumental role in developing CHG’s business development strategy, including expanding the service offerings and digital solutions for healthcare organization customers.

Brooke Bowers joined CompHealth in 2002 and has held multiple sales and leadership positions throughout the company. In her most recent role as senior VP, Bowers championed CompHealth’s sales strategies, which played a pivotal role in the division’s continuous growth and customer satisfaction.

Kerry Norman joined CHG in 2017 after 17 years at Capital Group, an investment management firm. During her time at CHG, Norman has led multiple divisions with more than 400 people, including talent operations, business technology, financial operations, real estate, and workplace and operational services teams. Norman is included in SIA’s 2022 Global Power 150 -Women in Staffing list.

The new positions for Grabl, Bowers and Norman will help strengthen alignment and partnership among all CHG divisions, according to the company.

“Lisa and Brooke have both been instrumental to CHG’s success for more than 20 years. They each started on the front lines of the business and worked their way up, with first Lisa and now Brooke leading our CompHealth locum tenens division. Not only are they a proud example for other women in the company — they are both powerful models of strong sales and cultural leadership, which is core to our growth strategy,” said CEO Scott Beck. “Kerry is known as a talent developer, a sought-after coach, an advocate for our people, a champion of our DE&I initiatives, and will undoubtedly continue her influence in her new role as she takes our operational excellence to the next level.”
