Bolstering sales is one of topics at upcoming conference

March 11, 2024

Staffing orders flowed in the wake of the pandemic, propelling the industry forward. Recently, however, things have slowed as the number of temp jobs has been falling. Meanwhile, average sales difficulty has been rising, according to SIA’s latest Pulse report.

There are other differences as well when it comes to sales. For example, some teams work remotely, some in person and others in hybrid arrangements.

“It's just changed,” said Kersten Buck, VP of global strategic solutions at SIA. “It’s not an in-person environment, it’s not a remote environment, it’s all different.”

Buck is leading a panel called “Building a High-Performance Sales Organization” at the upcoming Executive Forum North America. The forum will be held March 25 to March 28 in Las Vegas.

Preparing for the panel, Buck panelists are looking at several issues for possible discussion. These range from the importance of training sales leaders, how sales strategy has changed over the past three years, the hiring process for members of the sales team and more.

The panelists are:

  • Michele Beilman, COO, Matlen Silver
  • Tom Gimbel, founder and CEO, LaSalle Network
  • Sharon Black, president of enterprise strategic accounts, Robert Half
  • Cassandra Sanford, CEO, Kelly Mitchell Group
