North Carolina-based BlueLine Associates acquired the technology division of BlueStaff Inc.

The transaction closed Aug. 1; terms were not disclosed. Candice Keenan, director of operations at BlueStaff, will lead the staffing team at BlueLine as the new director of staffing solutions.

BlueLine partnered with BlueStaff earlier this year to increase its resourcing solutions offerings.

“Acquiring BlueStaff is a direct reflection of our recent momentum,” Rob Blanchette, partner at BlueLine, said. “This represents a strategic expansion of our business and increases the firm’s ability to improve overall labor effectiveness and operational efficiency for our clients.”

BlueLine’s new staffing solutions service line will target technology, professional and executive positions in the banking and finance, pharma, healthcare, insurance, consumer packaged goods and government sectors. The acquisition also enhances BlueLine’s managed services capabilities.

BlueStaff’s technology division internal staff numbers 20 people. With the acquisition, Blueline counts a total of 60 employees in eight offices — five domestic and three international — with three additional offices opening in early 2017.
