BMW starts business to compete with Uber and Lyft in Seattle (The Seattle Times)

BMW is jumping into the human cloud business; its ReachNow subsidiary is launching a ride-hailing service in Seattle to compete with Uber and Lyft, The Seattle Times reported. However, the BMW drivers are employees of a firm called Ecoservice, which is contracting with ReachNow. Drivers will also be paid $14.25 per hour, have set shifts and use ReachNow’s cars.
