BGSF revenue slips in property management, professional

BGSF Inc. (NYSE: BGSF), a Plano, Texas-based staffing provider, reported fourth-quarter revenue fell 4.8% to $73.6 million. The biggest decrease was in the company’s property management segment, where revenue fell 7.3% year over year in the fourth quarter. BGSF’s professional segment also saw revenue fall by 3.1%.

“I am proud of our team’s ability to achieve key objectives in 2023 despite project delays and persistent macroeconomic headwinds impacting corporations throughout North America,” Beth Garvey, chair, president and CEO, said in a press release.

In the past year, BGSF acquired Arroyo Consulting, an IT staffing and solutions firm headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee. It also acquired Horn Solutions Inc. in 2022. Horn Solutions is a consulting, managed services and staffing provider focused on finance/accounting and IT based in Sugar Land, Texas.

The company noted that fiscal Q4 2023 results reflect a 13-week period ended Dec. 31, 2023, while fiscal Q4 2022 results reflect a 14-week period ended Jan. 1, 2023.
