Aya Healthcare, a provider of travel nursing and workforce solutions to hospitals, acquired Qualivis, a hospital staffing provider based in Columbia, SC.

Qualivis taps a network of staffing agencies to provide workforce solutions to hospitals through state hospital associations. It works with hospital associations in 13 states and nearly 400 healthcare providers.

The transaction closed Oct. 15; terms were not disclosed. The Qualivis leadership team will remain intact and the company will continue to operate as a standalone brand.

Qualivis was created by South Carolina hospitals in 2002 to provide supplemental staffing. In January, it changed its name to Qualivis from name Healthcare Staffing Services, a subsidiary of SCHA Solutions. SCHA Solutions, which sold the company to Aya, is a division of the South Carolina Hospital Association formed to endorse preferred vendors.

“Aya will provide additional resources to make sure that Qualivis leverages its association model to continue delivering exceptional services to clients,” Aya Healthcare President and CEO Alan Braynin said.
