Aya Healthcare, the largest US healthcare staffing provider, acquired Winnow AI, which uses artificial intelligence to match physicians with open roles.

Winnow AI’s technology finds passive candidates and create data profiles from both public and private sources in order to refer to jobs, as well as predict which physicians are likely to change jobs and where they are most likely to relocate.

“We’re able to help healthcare organizations effectively fill their open provider positions by offering Winnow AI to identify passive job seekers and DocCafe to effectively recruit active physician job seekers,” Alan Braynin, president and CEO of Aya Healthcare, said in a press release, adding that the acquisition would play a role in the company’s strategy to reduce costs, boost efficiency and improve access to care.

Winnow AI works with Aya’s DocCafe brand, the company’s physician recruitment platform.

“Winnow AI offers a more targeted approach to building all-star teams by pinpointing candidates who match the profiles of a company’s best doctors,” said Ray Guzman, co-founder of Winnow AI and CEO of SwitchPoint Ventures.

The deal closed Nov. 6. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Winnow AI was created by SwitchPoint Ventures, an organization that builds AI-driven business solutions for healthcare.
