App wins second annual Healthcare Staffing Summit Innovation Award

November 10, 2016

An app developed by Foreman Therapy Services that streamlines communication between home healthcare firms and service providers received the second annual Innovation Award on Wednesday at the Healthcare Staffing Summit in Washington.

Nate Foreman, president of Foreman Therapy Services, said the app was two years in the making, and the idea for it came from the need to improve communication.

“Just the way that agencies communicate with their staff needs to be changed,” Foreman said. “There is just too much inefficiency with this communication.”

Foreman Therapy Services was one of three finalists for the Innovation Award.

Nominations for the award are submitted in advance to Staffing Industry Analysts, and the research team picks three finalists who present their ideas at the Healthcare Staffing Summit. Finalists are chosen based on the level of innovation and originality as well as potential impact on the healthcare staffing market. Attendees at the event then vote on a winner.

Foreman said the app is already in use and work is underway to refine it.

The other two finalists presenting their ideas on Wednesday were Avantas and Cross Country Healthcare.

Today, the Healthcare Staffing Summit was set to finish at 12:45 p.m. Eastern time. Next year’s Healthcare Staffing Summit takes place Nov. 13-15, 2017, in Dallas, Texas.
