Amended lawsuit claims Philadelphia wage equity law harms firms, including staffing providers (CBS Philly)

The Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce last week filed an amended lawsuit against a city law that would bar employers from asking for a job applicant’s wage history, CBS Philly reports. Judge Mitchell Goldberg tossed out a chamber suit against the law last month, saying it didn’t have standing to sue because the suit failed to show how the law would hurt any of its members. The chamber filed an amended suit last week, naming 12 companies it says would be harmed by the bill; these included women-owned executive search firm Diversified Search as well as Day and Zimmerman, the parent company of Yoh.
