Amazon.com, which launched its Amazon Home Services place three years ago to connect customers to handymen, landscapers and others using an independent contractor model similar to Uber — where the workers are independent contractors — is now changing that model, Bloomberg reported. Amazon.com is hiring home cleaners in Seattle as direct employees in order to gain greater control over the quality of work.
