Aditi Consulting acquired Resolvit, which provides nearshore IT solutions teams in Latin America.

“Resolvit is an important and exciting acquisition for us. They enhance our ability to better serve the clients of both organizations,” Aditi CEO Raja Narayana said in a press release.

Resolvit has IT teams in Argentina, Ecuador, Colombia and Uruguay with headquarters in the US. Its teams operate on a statement-of-work basis and focus particularly on work in cybersecurity, DevOps, cloud/IoT and application modernization.

The deal comes amid evidence that more North American companies are considering nearshoring their IT work to bridge the skills gap.

SIA’s Lexicon defines nearshoring as “a form of outsourcing arrangement performed in roughly the same time zone with less than one day’s travel to reach the near-shore destination.” For the US, that means countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.

“It is an attractive option because of the depth of available tech professionals, geographic proximity, cultural alignment and similar time zones,” Paul Taylor, chief revenue officers at Aditi, said in a note to SIA.

The world is becoming more and more “borderless,” Taylor said. “Increasingly, it doesn’t matter where the work is done; it’s about the quality of the work and the quality of the resources.”

Aditi’s acquisition of Resolvit closed on Oct. 2.

“The depth and reach of the combined entities will benefit our global customers with new creative solutions and quantifiable results,” Resolvit CEO Mark Scofield said in a press release.

Terms of the transaction were not announced.
