Adecco North America will close Ignite, its Jacksonville, Fla.-based innovation lab for HR technology, by the end of the week.

“Today we were informed by the executive leadership of Adecco North America that the innovation lab is being closed as of the end of this week,” Ignite Strategist Jon Bosworth wrote in a blog post. “Working at Ignite has been an unparalleled privilege. The people on this team are incredible. Beyond being amazing and thoughtful coworkers, Igniters are some of the smartest people in the HR tech space.”

Adecco will lay off 26 of its corporate employees as a result of the shutdown.

“We have made the difficult decision to implement organizational changes in order to better align our workfoce with market demands and customer needs,” Adecco spokesperson Mary Beth Waddill told the Jacksonville Business Journal.
