Adecco businesses Hired, Vettery to operate as single platform under Hired brand

April 13, 2021

Hired announced today that it has absorbed Vettery into its operations; both firms are owned by The Adecco Group. Hired is a San Francisco-based online recruitment platform focused on matching technology talent with jobs; it was acquired by Adecco last November. Vettery is also an online recruitment platform; it was acquired by Adecco in 2018. The businesses will now operate as a single platform under the Hired brand.

Vettery CEO Josh Brenner is taking on the CEO role for Hired as a whole.

“I’m incredibly proud of the Hired and Vettery teams — in only four months, we came together to help launch our unified solution and brand while supporting high growth on our platform, accelerating past pre-pandemic levels of hiring,” Brenner said. “The renewed focus on remote flexibility and unbiased talent sourcing has only deepened the need for technologies like Hired to bring a more transparent, equitable, and efficient hiring experience to the forefront.”

Brenner had appeared on last year’s 40 Under 40 in staffing list.

The merger expands Hired’s pool of candidates beyond tech roles to sales roles as well. Hired also noted the economy appears to be recovering and it has seen significant year-over-year growth in hiring activity on its marketplace, exceeding pre-pandemic levels.

The company also reported that in addition to offering remote roles, with the merger Hired is now available to candidates in four new markets — Atlanta; Dublin, Ireland; Minneapolis; and Philadelphia — bringing the number regions served worldwide to 18.

Hired’s clients include Instacart, Wayfair, Zendesk, Postmates, Twitch, Capital One and Peloton.
