Active Staffing Services acquired Phoenix Staffing Inc., a provider of light industrial staffing based in Maryland. The acquisition broadens Active Staffing’s national footprint and increases its area of expertise.

“Phoenix Staffing Inc. represents an ideal fit and timely addition for Active Staffing,” Benjamin Elzweig, CEO of Active Staffing, said in a press release.

“Both companies come from a lineage of family-run operations,” Elzweig said. “This merger allows Phoenix Staffing to leverage its longstanding market relationships, all while contributing to the nationwide growth of Active Staffing.”

The Phoenix Staffing founder Richard Phillips will continue as president.

“Active Staffing’s wealth of experience in staffing, tailored client support and diverse job offerings resonate well with our own values,” Phillips said.

Terms of the transaction were not announced.

Active Staffing previously announced the acquisition of New Jersey-based Normann Staffing Services.
