Accurate Background, a provider of background screening, drug testing and monitoring solutions, acquired Vero Screening Ltd., an employment screening company based in Brighton, UK.

The deal closed July 18, and Accurate Background acquired 100% of the business from individual shareholders. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

With the deal, Accurate Background attains a new EMEA headquarters in Brighton, UK, and expands its portfolio of compliance-driven and service-focused employment screening solutions.

Vero Screening will continue to operate under its own brand, led by co-founder and CEO Rupert Emson. Additionally, Emson will join Accurate Background’s executive leadership team, reporting to CEO Tim Dowd. The Vero executive team will also remain in key leadership roles within the organization.

Founded in 2006, Vero Screening provides services in more than 200 countries.

Irvine, California-based Accurate Background was founded in 1997.
