AESC announces new board and council leadership

The Association of Executive Search and Leadership Consultants today announced its 2024 board and council leadership, led by Julian Ha, who became AESC’s global chair at the association’s annual meeting in London. Ha previously held the vice chair position and is also a partner and leader of the government affairs and trade association practices at Heidrick & Struggles International Inc.

“It is an honor to hold the position of global chair at AESC, working alongside dedicated directors and staff who share an unwavering commitment to the profession,” Ha said in a press statement. “The newly appointed directors bring valuable skills, best-in-class expertise and enthusiasm to the AESC board.”

The AESC also announced Sophie Wigniolle as vice chair. Wigniolle is a partner with Paris-based Eric Salmon & Partners.

In addition, Cathy Logue is now secretary and treasurer. Logue is managing director and global leader of the CFO and financial executives practice group at Toronto-based Stanton Chase.

Also, Emanuela Aureli is now chair emeritus after previously serving as global chair. Aureli is partner at Spencer Stuart as well as EMEA leader of its technology, media, telecommunications and services practice; she is also a member of the CEO and board global practice.

The AESC board also welcomed three new directors:

  • Nobi Kaneko: President and managing partner, Kaneko & Associates, based in Los Angeles and Tokyo.
  • Jacques Bouwens: Consultant at Russell Reynolds Associates, based in Amsterdam.
  • Michael Castleman: Chief business officer and executive partner at Witt/Kieffer, based in Florida.

The complete 2024 AESC global board of directors includes Karen Greenbaum, AESC, ex-officio; Sonal Agrawal, Accord | India/ AltoPartners; Jacques Bouwens, Russell Reynolds; Michael Castleman, WittKieffer; Nick Chambers, Boyden; Toni Clayton-Hine, independent AESC director, EY Americas; Joe Coulter, Coulter Partners; Rodrigo Foz Forte, Exec – Executive Performance/Panorama; Paul Jenkins, independent AESC director, McKinsey & Co.; and David Turner, Kincannon & Reed.
