ADP reports PEO revenue rises 12%

April’s private-sector job gain is lowest since October, ADP reports

US private-sector employment rose by 177,000 jobs in April from March, according to the ADP national employment report. April’s gain is lower than the 255,000 gain in March and the smallest gain since the 62,000 increase last October.

March’s gain was revised downward from 263,000.

Reuters reports US companies hired the fewest workers in six months in April as they faced increasing difficulty finding qualified workers in a tightening labor market.
