People on the move: Dedicare, OECD, Matrix

Dedicare, the Swedish staffing firm, announced it appointed Anna-Lena Mann as CEO of Dedicare Life Sciences.

Mann has experience in the life science industry and, in recent years, has worked with consulting supply for the life science market in her role as business area manager of quality & compliance at Plantvision. Mann takes up her position as CEO of Dedicare Life Science on 12 August.

Last year, the company acquired H&P Search & Interim and changed the name to Dedicare Life Science. The group is a supplier to the Nordic market focussed on the recruitment and hiring of consultants in the life science sector.

The OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) announced that the appointment of Ulrik Knudsen, a Danish national who took up his duties as Deputy Secretary-General of the OECD in January 2019, has been extended by two years. His current portfolio includes digital and technological transformation, science and innovation, global relations, trade, and agriculture. Previously, he was responsible for employment, labour, social affairs, health, entrepreneurship, education, skills, well-being, inequalities of opportunity and sustainability.

The OECD also appointed Mary Beth Goodman as a Deputy Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. She assumed her duties on 4 April 2024. Goodman will be responsible for the environment, public governance and development portfolios. This will include responsibility for sustainable development, climate finance and anti-corruption.

Goodman and Knudsen are part of the leadership team of Deputy Secretaries-General.

Matrix, a provider of workforce management solutions, announced the appointment of Suzi Smith as chief strategic officer as part of their operating board development. In her new role, Smith will join the executive team and be responsible for leading the company's customer and product strategy. With a focus on strategic planning and execution, Smith will spearhead the development and implementation of initiatives that drive Matrix's customer-centric ethos and long-term vision.

Smith previously served as vice president of solutions and alliance partners at the Adecco Group. In her new role, Smith will oversee Matrix's portfolio of customers, providing strategic client management, market analysis, competitive intelligence, and product innovation efforts.
