The temporary employment sector in the Netherlands saw a decrease in hours while turnover also fell during the third period of 2024 (week 9 – 12, starting 26 February), according to the Dutch Federation of Private Employment Agencies (ABU).
In period 3, hours decreased by 8%, and turnover fell by 1% compared to last year.
In the administrative sector, hours decreased by 16%, and turnover decreased by 5% compared to last year.
Meanwhile, hours decreased by 4% in the industrial sector, and turnover increased by 3% compared to last year.
ABU's research also showed that hours decreased by 10% in the technical sector, and turnover decreased by 2% compared to the same period last year.
