The best jobs this year represent a broad array of fields, from tech to construction, according to the best jobs of 2019 list released by jobs website Indeed. The jobs listed include everything from the most cutting-edge positions - robotics engineer and full-stack developer - to those that have been around for centuries - insurance broker and accountant.

The list includes jobs with a baseline salary of at least $75,000; jobs with at least 20 job postings per 1 million total postings; and jobs with the largest increase in number of postings on Indeed between 2015 and 2018.

Machine learning engineer took the top spot on the list this year, up from No. 4 in 2018, reflecting the increased use of artificial intelligence in many of the items people use every day.

Insurance broker ranked second, making its first appearance on the list this year. The insurance industry is hungry to attract new, young talent, according to Indeed. Another insurance-related job followed close behind at No. 4: insurance advisor.

While tech jobs still have the largest presence on the list, a number of legal/attorney roles jumped on the list for the first time this year.

Bouncing back from zero on the 2018 list, three legal roles made the cut this year: litigation attorney, litigation associate and associate attorney.
