Need Content for Your Social Marketing?

I know that many of you have stepped up your social marketing.  I also know, some of you struggle for content to use for your social marketing.  Well here's a tip, how about using your employee's email?

Okay, not their emails that contain the latest quip or chain mail, but the email they send out to customers.  Think about it, a customer or prospect sends your sales rep or your customer service person an email asking about how to use something about your VMS tool, or inquires about staffing nurses, or wants information about time to hire an IT manager.  Your sales rep or customer service person is going to send a response.  What happens if you could collect those responses and repurpose them and post the answers on Twitter.  Or, it enables you to write a blog, or have another employee embellish the email a bit to create a compelling blog post.  The tidbit could be something you post on your company's Facebook page.

Using emails gives you a vast quantity of content that you can easily repurpose and use as part of your social marketing plan.  The next question you might ask is, how do I collect the information, my staff will complain about doing extra work.  This is the best part, there is NO extra work.  Just ask your team to bcc you on their emails regarding significant responses to customers.  They just have to bcc you, and content flows directly into your email box.  Another tool could be Yammer, Jive or some other tool that allows posts on an internal social site. 

Give it a try, I think you might find a goldmine of information and content that can be repurposed.
