- In Australia, a labour hire licensing scheme comes into force in two states in 2018; while legislation is pending in Victoria, and two other states are holding inquiries into labour hire practices.
- In Japan, employees, including dispatched workers, who have been employed on fixed-term contracts for more than five years will be entitled to apply to their employer for an indefinite contract in April 2018.
- Singaporean businesses must register for CorpPass by 30 June 2018 to use the Employment Pass Online service.
- Changes to Vietnam’s Labour Code are anticipated during 2018.
