Morson Group, a global engineering staffing provider, is rolling out a mobile app to help remote contractors determine if they are experiencing signs and symptoms of the coronavirus.
The app asks a series of questions to determine if a person is at high risk. The app was initially designed to check whether workers had the right personal protective equipment and had received a health and safety briefing prior to the job; it was updated with the Covid-19 questions.
Morson’s app uses facial recognition to validate a workers’ identity. It then notifies supervisors who can make a decision on whether the worker should come in.
The company, which is based in the UK, is running a pilot program with rail workers in England.
