Private equity firm invests in app-based staffing platform FleetNurse

Private equity firm HCAP Partners announced a minority investment in FleetNurse, a healthcare talent platform. HCAP Principal Nicolas Lopez will join FleetNurse’s board as part of the deal. Management will continue to have a stake, but terms of the transaction were not announced.

FleetNurse’s app connects healthcare professionals with healthcare facilities that need to staff per diem shifts and short-term placements on quick notice, such as within an hour. It operates in eight states.

“Using the same technology that disrupted and optimized ride sharing, vacation rentals and many other segments of the modern economy, the company has created a powerful software solution to efficiently match high-quality nurses to facilities in both the acute and post-acute markets,” Lopez said.

The company aims to use the funding to accelerate growth in new and existing markets as well as enhance functionality on its platform.

FleetNurse was founded in 2019 and is based in Eugene, Oregon. It’s led by CEO Israel Angeles.
