AMN Healthcare Services Inc. (NYSE: AMN) released preliminary fourth-quarter revenue numbers on Monday that were above previously announced guidance. The healthcare staffing firm reported fourth-quarter revenue will be between $623 million and $628 million.

The company’s most-recent guidance was for revenue to be between $575 million and $585 million. The new projection is between 6.2% and 7.0% higher than revenue in the fourth quarter of 2019.

AMN said the revenue numbers reflect strong demand for its services, particularly in its nurse and allied solutions segment.

Separate reports indicate that demand for travel nurse staffing has been strong as the US fights the Covid-19 pandemic.

AMN also on Monday reaffirmed its guidance for fourth-quarter operating margin and adjusted EBITDA margin.
