UK-based Search Consultancy acquires health and social care recruitment firm

Glasgow-based recruitment firm Search Consultancy acquired health and social care recruitment firm SCP Aberdeen.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

SCP Aberdeen is owned by SCP Recruitment, which was founded in 2006. In 2015, SCP Recruitment was purchased by the City and County Healthcare Group, a provider of Domiciliary and Complex Care Services.

SCP Aberdeen’s staff will move in to the Search Aberdeen office as part of Search Healthcare. Search Healthcare has been operating since 2004. According to Search, this acquisition will strengthen its healthcare book, boost its team and position the business for future growth.

“This strategic acquisition is set to significantly enhance our ability to provide healthcare services to the market in Scotland," said Lisa McLean, managing director at Search Healthcare. "The people and expertise will be a real asset to our growing division, and I am looking forward to working with those based there. SCP has values aligned to those of Search and we are looking forward to driving our healthcare business forward.”

“For existing clients and candidates of SCP, we are looking forward to sharing our group expertise and size to offer an enhanced service, and likewise we look forward to introducing existing Search clients and candidates to this extended offering,” McLean said.

In September 2018, Search Consultancy announced that it acquired Henderson Scott, a specialist provider of executive search and recruitment solutions in technology. Last month, the company announced that it appointed Richard Vickers as CEO, effective Sept. 23, 2019.
