Not all states recognize new version of licensure compact for nurses (California Healthline)

Proponents of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing’s multistate nurse licensing agreement, the National Licensure Compact, argue that it helps fill jobs in places where there aren’t enough nurses and enables nurses to respond quickly to natural disasters across state lines, California Healthline reports. However, not all states are part of the National Licensure Compact despite the launch last month of a new version of the compact.
